Dr. Pat Hamilton graduated from the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo in 1988, having been awarded the Ciba Vision Award for Clinical Excellence. This followed a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Winnipeg in 1984. Dr. Hamilton received his certification in the use of therapeutic drugs in 1994 from the Northeastern State University, College of Optometry, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He has been practicing Optometry in Nepean since 1988. Dr. Hamilton enjoys all aspects of primary optometric care particularly contact lens therapy, digital ocular photography and the pre- and post-operative care of patients interested in refractive surgery.
Dr. Hamilton has served his profession locally, provincially and nationally in various roles. He is past member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists’ Occupational Vision Committee, the CNIB Advisory Board, past-president of the Ottawa Society of Optometrists and is a former chairperson of the Staff Education Program for the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Dr. Hamilton is currently a member in good standing of the Ottawa, Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometry. His leisure time revolves around his wife and three boys and spending time with them on the water at the family cottage.
